Just in time for the start of the Easter chocolate season we’ve made some models for the new Malteser chocolate Bunny promotions.

Carefully crafting a true to life version of these bunnies can create real chocolate cravings, however, these bites out of the models are created intentionally by our model makers for a commercial photo shoot.

Our super 'Tropfen Meister' electronic effects equipment was recently used to create special rain effects for pop starlet Little Boots in her new video 'Earthquake'.

The director's brief was to create rain drops to move in a vertical direction. Our solution was to use our specialist electronics effects knowledge to launch the 'Tropfen Meister' which created repeatable, controllable and directionable rain effects. This equipment is unique to CF so do contact us if you would like to utilise our expertise.

CF Assists Norwegian Artist Hang Man in Parachute

A man hanging from a parachute has been turning heads in Oslo this month as a new conceptual art installation by Svein Moxvold. A true to life model was hung in the trees above Kunstnernses Hus gallery in Oslo as part of the Norwegian government’s art exhibition.

The work is about people in ‘strong positions’ in society (politics, religion or business). Demonstrating as soon as you’re ‘hanging’ there, between ‘heaven and hell’, everyone is the same.

Complete Fabrication worked closely with artist Svein Moxvold to create this life size version, which included the fabrication of an exact copy of a face, hair and body. A tailor made suit and bags were also made by our team of talented model makers and fabricators.

First Chemist to Exhibit at London's Royal Academy of Arts

The world's first exhibit by a chemist at the Royal Academy of Arts since 1857 has gone on display in the courtyard of Burlington House this week.

Well-known chemical ecologist Graeme Jones, who has a national reputation for creation of giant chemical models, was set the challenge by the Royal Society of Chemistry to create the new external exhibits.

The challenging nature of the 'Carbon Rapture' project led Graeme to get in touch with Complete Fabrication to assist him. As graphite was the only form of carbon Graeme could have in large quantity the supporting structures had to be strong enough to support them and be safe for public display.

Graeme says we did ‘a superb job' (see www.makeitmolecular.com). From creation to installation the CF team worked tirelessly to make and deliver the structures and with their convenient London location they were able to keep their carbon footprint to a minimum too.

Used to seeing their models and effects work at the front end of the camera, it was an unusual sight for the Complete Fabrication team to see their own colleagues featured in a documentary recently shot by Cheerful Scout. The film was made as part of a series of ten online tax guides with the COI for HM Revenue and Customs.

The film features an interview with managing director Josephine Pickett-Baker talking from a business perspective on VAT. It also features footage of our team in action.

According to Cheerful Scout's producer Joanna Radford the TV version of the films will be aired on Virgin on Demand in July 2009. Watch this space for more news. In the meantime the footage can also be seen on the Business Link website "(see the link below)":http://www.businesslink.gov.uk/bdotg/action/detail?itemId=1082052560&type=CAMPAIGN&site=1000

You may have seen the recent TV launch campaign of the Sony Bravia featuring a giant zoetrope installation near Turin, Italy.

To commemorate the launch Complete Fabrication was commissioned to make a fully functioning miniature display version. The conscientious workmanship of our team guaranteed a superior finish to a high specification demanded by Sony.

The model is now exhibited at Sony’s head office in Weybridge. We assume the one installed in Italy may have been a bit too large to get through the front door.

This recently aired Gordon's Gin commercial may have been seen as an appropriate forfeit by some recent critics of Mr Ramsay's cursing habit.

The special effects, ice and fruit models were created and administered by members of the Complete Fabrication Models and Effects team. Gordon Ramsay's head also had to be held still in place with a specially created rig to ensure accuracy of the shots and effects which reduced the need for repeat takes.

The advert was seen in cinemas, live media billboards and on television. See the video in our portfolio section or go to http://www.completemodelsandeffects.com/project/229

Among props on auction with eBay after the closure of the West End production of Spamalot was the rubber cow lovingly made by Complete Fabrication.

'La Vache' was used each show to catapult at King Arthur and his men by French adversaries. According to the press the cow was given a 'Damien Hirst makeover' and was to be the highlight of the eBay memorabilia auction.

A second cow made by CF is currently to be seen in an 'udder' production of Spamalot showing in Barcelona.

The food models included a life size Goose, bangers and mash and a spotted dick and custard. Some dishes included a steam effect for that 'hot out of the oven look'. The jelly pudding was sprung for a 'wobble' effect.

The models will soon be live in action on stage every night when the West End theatre opens.
